"Residents across Oxfordshire were shaken during the early hours today by the biggest earthquake in the country in the past 20 years. The quake shook the UK, causing damage to buildings and leaving at least one person injured. Tremors hit the country about 1am and the earthquake was measured at 5.2 on the Richter scale."
I was going to bed after reading some Finance lecture notes. I found my bottle of water shook vigorously, followed by some sound from the window glass. I was thinking if it was some naughty people knocking at my window. It lasts for 3-4 seconds only, I don't know it was an earthquake until talking to the classmates during lesson. My classmate asked me what would I bring along if I need to run. I think I will bring my wallet and passport; while she will bring her daughter......

Moon
No cloud in the sky --> lack of a layer to trap the warm air (no greenhouse effect) --> cold in these few days
Unlike HK, there is no light pollution in here, thus the sky in Oxford is much prettier than that in HK. We can see a moon at the daytime and many stars at night.

Cold again
Cold again in these few days, I wonder if it will snow in February. Many classmates get sick, it is easy to be infected because we always close the windows, without fresh air / good ventilation. Unlike HK, people won't wear a mask if they cough. As a result, I am getting sick too, started with throat pain, and cough a little bit now. Hope I will get well soon.
I have received a cold call from a Big-4 CPA firm in London asking me if I am interested to work in Shanghai. It proved that someone really read our MBA CV booklet.

Meeting Alumni at London
We look more professional in business suits, right?
Meeting alumni from RBS, Macquarie Bank, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, etc at Canary Wharf Clifford Chance Office. Just like picniking with classmates. I like Canary Wharf because it looks very similar to Taikoo Place in HK, feel like home! I think I'm a bit workaholic, too bad!
