Sick

Feel better after taking the medicine from Boots but still cough in the mid-night that makes me can't sleep well. Thanks Sandy for making a diagnosis over the phone. Hope I can get well soon, find annoying especially when studying for the exam.

Studying

Nothing special in this week, just studying for the coming exam. Sunset very early everyday at around 4pm. The weather is getting poor, it rains a lot recently. Pouring may be a more suitable word than raining. The wind blows very strong when I go to church today, it takes me double the time walking to the church because I need to hold the umbrella in an angle that the wind won't break my umbrella (already broke one in last month). May be wearing a raincoat is more practical. Smart Marge successfully claimed VAT refund on my Burberry stuff when returning to HK, million thanks! Have money to buy more umbrellas and raincoats.

Term Break for undergraduates

Feel a bit sick because I cough a little. I will see a doctor if I won't get better on Monday. Besides, I have muscle fatigue on my waist, may be the consequence of playing squash without warm-up on last Sunday or improper sleeping posture. A bit better after playing touch rugby at New College Sports Ground today. It's my first time playing rugby, quite enjoyable!!

My college is nearly empty because term break starts for the undergraduate. All students moved out today. Many parents parked their cars outside the college to pick their children home. Very silent in the college, like two months ago when I first arrived here. There are only 6 people booked dinner tonight, we go to the kitchen and pick our food from the Chef directly, sounds weird.............

Section C Photo

Last lecture in Michaelmas term. The one beside me is Owen Darbishire who teaches Developing Effective Manager ("DEM"). I like his lesson because it is Friday afternoon, the only day that I have morning off and DEM is fun with many psycho elements.

220 MBA students are divided into three sections in Michaelmas term. Different sections have different characteristics, some talk a lot, some have fixed seats. However, I am still not able to recognise over 70 classmates in my session...........too many.

Last lectures in Michaelmas

超級靚仔Finance 1 教授Alexander Guembel,唔教得都睇得.

好有型的Strategy教授Thomas Powell.

好大声教書的Decision Science西班牙藉教授Dolores Romero Morales,把我最討厭的statistic變得有趣. 除了教Financial Reporting 的Tomo以外,我最喜歡她,很熱心教学的.

Celebrate Assignments Done

Finally, all eleven assignments are done within six weeks. A good time to celebrate in Turf. We are released from being chased by deadlines even though examination is waiting for us.

SanTeenThree

"Work hard and play hard" is exactly describing my MBA life. Other than the party and sightseeing tour pictures that you always see, I spent many many hours with my study group members after school and during weekends.
Let me introduce SanTeenThree (Group 27 = 3 cube, see 25 Oct Blog for details) :
Tony (New York)
Parmender (India)
Harsh (India)
Satoko (Japan)
Daniel (Argentina)
Me (Hong Kong)
Today is our final meeting because we have finished the last assignment i.e. Managerial Economics on eBay auction. Goodbye and thanks all for the patience and willingness to share the knowledge/workload during the past seven weeks. Wish we can have good results in week 10 exam.

Ruby's Visit - Blenheim Palace

School uniform in Wadham College: short pants, boots, scarf, backpack

No punting during November, just pretend.............

Thanks for Ruby's visit, this weekend is one of my happiest days in Oxford. I will not forget the never ending walk when leaving Blenheim Palace. Bear in mind that the exit gate closes at 4:30pm and you need to walk at least 30 mins to the other gate, then another 30 mins to the bus stop. Fortunate that we are DEA members who are well trained for expedition. If I have the second chance, I would choose to climb the gate and jump over it.
Welcome other friends to visit me in the future. We have tested that my single bed can accommodate two people (girls) sleeping together.
